I’m Jaakko — a husband, father, orienteer, trail runner, and Norway elopement photographer. I’ve lived my whole life in the Nordic countries, and I’ve been awarded twice in Junebug Weddings’ Best of the Best collections. For more than a decade, I’ve photographed elopements across Norway — from rugged northern islands to quiet forests and mountain plateaus in the south. What matters most to me is creating an experience that feels honest, calm, and deeply meaningful. Beautiful photos are important, but they should be the result of a day that felt real — not a performance for the camera. Experience over photos. Always.

Kokemus

I have been photographing professionally since 2015. I photograph elopements mainly in the Nordic countries (Norway, Sweden, and Finland) but also occasionally photograph in the Alps. With a decade of storytelling, two Junebug Best of the Best awards, and an orienteering background, I’ll guide you to hidden gems and handle everything from timelines to vendor recommendations—blending creativity, expert location scouting, and logistical know-how into one seamless experience.
